Is there a difference between the verb 'being' (as in the process of being) and the noun (a being) or does one imply/require the other? An interesting lens through which to view the question of being is Heidegger's "Dasein". It's fascinatingly linked to technology in the article "Cyber-being and time". It asks the question: "Does the possibility exist in which an artificial human could be human in the way that we are?" and concludes it bluntly with "robots will never smoke." Discuss! ~Ceridwen
Buddha says:
Why did the chicken cross the road?
If you ask this question, you deny your own chicken-nature.
