Indeed, in a letter to Julian Huxley dated April 1950, Teilhard, always the neologista, seems to have coined the term "transhumain" or "transhuman", in an effort to overcome the "human, all too human" aspects of "hominization." Here Teilhard notes that the "Ultrahumain" not of a change in kind from the species we are all too familiar with, but as the Omega point is (asymptotically?) approached, a new form emerges, "transhumain."
